06 Aug The Independent Makes Headlines and Breaks Records
Nearly sold out and they haven’t broken ground yet
The Independent is making headlines left and right and Edwards Media is excited to be on the project. As the future tallest tower in Austin, and the largest residential building west of the Mississippi, we are proud to play a small part as the video agency in this overall marketing effort lead by ASPEN HEIGHTS and URBANSPACE.
Since it was announced, The Independent has been featured on the cover of the Austin American-Statesman. It’s been written about in the Wall Street Journal, twice. The Boston Globe, San Antonio Express, even newspapers as north at The Montreal Gazette and Vancouver Sun have caught wind of the 58-story condo.
In 3 months, we filmed 3 commercials, hired 35 actors, shot in 22 locations all over downtown Austin and topped it off with a handful of short videos from some excited buyers.
The Independent is 90% reserved and it hasn’t even broken ground on construction yet. Urbanspace, the exclusive realtor for the building, broke the downtown sales record they previously held for the Seaholm with the speed of these reservations.
Edwards Media had the opportunity to interview five future homeowners to capture the excitement about living in Austin’s tallest building. These videos served as content for the Urbanspace social media pages and Independent website.
92% of reservations were made by current Texas residents, and 83% were current Austinites.
